Call for Venues for the 20th Biennial CIGAR Conference in June 2025

The CIGAR Network Association opens a call for Venuesforthe 20th Biennial CIGAR Conference in 2025 that isexpected to take place in June 2025.

The deadlineforproposal submissions is the30th of November 2023.

The proposal should be developed along the lines indicated in the Appendix of the Governance Document

Applications open for CIGAR Network Executive Board Members

The CIGAR Network Association opens a call for applications for new Executive Board members. The candidates should be scholars doing research in public sector accounting and financial management, and active participants in CIGAR Network activities. The responsibilities and the role of the CIGAR Network Executive Board are presented in detail in the governance document, Section 5 (https://cigar-network.net/images/CIGAR_governance_paper_1_May_2021_SJ_May5_FINAL.pdf).

Geographical and gender balance will be taken into consideration in the assessment of applications.

The term of the new Board members will start on July 1, 2023.

USP International Conference in Accounting 2021 Forum

Anne Stafford and Giuseppe Grossi took part in the CIGAR Forum during the International Conference in Accounting July 29th, 3:10 p.m. São Paulo time. Anne Stafford presented the CIGAR Network while Guiseppe Grossi talked about "Implementation of the international public sector accounting standards in Europe: variations on a global theme".

We would like to draw your attention to the Call for chapter proposals for the Book “Measurement of Assets and Liabilities in Public Sector Financial Reporting: theoretical basis and empirical evidence”, edited by Josette Caruana, Marco Bisogno, Mariafrancesca Sicilia.

The book is part of the Book Series Public Service Accounting and Accountability published by Emerald Publishing.

The deadline for the submission of chapter proposal is the 1st May 2021 1st June 2021. The book is planned to be published at 2022.
